This London home has been reimagined from the ground up, an ambitious transformation that extended far beyond simple landscaping. What began as a modest garden and conservatory has evolved into a seamless extension of the home, uniting indoor and outdoor living with a refined, contemporary edge.
The project involved the careful demolition of the existing conservatory and the creation of a single-storey glazed extension, complete with a front veranda. At roof level, we raised the ridge height and introduced rooflights to accommodate a new loft conversion, unlocking valuable space for the family.
These architectural works set the stage for a complete reconfiguration of the property, blending technical precision with aesthetic elegance.
Outdoor Living Spaces
Outside, the garden shifted from plain lawn to a multi-layered experience. A new swimming pool, detached pool house, and extensive landscaping now provide a variety of spaces for family living and entertaining. We introduced a series of patio and decking areas to maximise 360-degree views across the garden, each designed to capture changing light throughout the day. The glazed sliding doors from the kitchen-family room reinforce this flow, creating a true indoor–outdoor connection.
Integrated Elements
A key challenge was balancing the clean geometry of contemporary stonework with softer natural elements. Our solution was to integrate pockets of lush greenery and a water feature by the dining terrace, adding texture, movement, and a sensory quality to the garden. Lighting was also carefully considered, ensuring the space could shift effortlessly from daytime relaxation to evening gatherings.
Versatile Living
The result is a home that feels complete: every aspect working in harmony, from the architectural re-modelling to the garden’s layered landscapes. A once modest setting now serves as a versatile, luxurious retreat, designed for everyday living, entertaining, and those moments of calm in between.
